Truth be told, I have a troublesome time believing that liberals care for America. If they do why are they so intent on altering the foundation and misinterpreting the Constitution? Why do they speak so ill of it? If liberals love America:
- Why, when speaking of America, it is continuously with such disdain and contempt? Utilizing depleted words such as arrogant, gluttonous and an egotistical nation.
- Why, when discussing the Founding Fathers, all they can utter are destructive expressions; such as how they were slave holders, drunkards and womanizers?
- Why is it they believe the First Amendment was composed for their personal interpretations such as to preserve pornography, disrespect, socialism, Marxism and communism?
- Why is it they do not believe the First Amendment was created to defend capitalism, freedom from big government, Christianity, morality and values?
The solution is effortless – EDUCATION. We have been educating our children to believe that the government should take care of us. Academics have taken a back seat to social lessons. On the face the liberal leaders discuss the importance of reading, but in actuality they rejected the practice of the most efficient technique – Phonics.
In my book, “Teachers, It Ain’t Your Fault” I depict how this has transpired. The swiftest way to be capable of changing the Constitution is to dishonor the authors of it… something the liberals do incredibly well.
- The reality is our Founders detested slavery and aspired to abolish it.
- Furthermore, they were not about to liberate them and then abandon them by tossing them to the wolves. They were offered a choice of staying and working or going off on their own. The essence of freedom.
- What’s more, liberals fail to mention that it was Conservative Christian Americans that waged war with countless men breathing their last breath so as to abolish slavery in America. They would have you suppose otherwise; like it was only concerning money.
- As far as womanizers and drunks, I am convinced all of our founders had their defects as any of us, but what precisely was Bill Clinton? He was remarkable womanizer, nevertheless liberals love him. That reeks of hypocrisy.
- The First Amendment was to protect an emancipated capitalist society. Socialists, Marxists and Communists were in fact deemed traitors and indict for it (rightfully so).
- The First Amendment was to protect Christianity, morality and values; George Washington’s farewell address to the country was directed on Christianity and morality and how America could not have one devoid of the other.
Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story said in his commentary of the First Amendments primary implication:
“It was not to <tolerate> much less advance Mohammedanism, or Judaism, or infidelity (no belief), by <restraining > Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects (denominations) and prevent and national ecclesiastical patronage of the national government.”
In other words we are a Christian nation and we anticipate and implore our citizens to follow Christianity. However, our government was not to disseminate, sponsor or elevate one denomination (Baptist, Protestant, Catholicism, etc.) over another.
Conversely, Conservatives love America and illustrate it with their actions as well as their words. Moreover:
- Conservatives aspire to keep our Constitution as the Founding Fathers intended.
- Conservatives yearn for all Americans to have an equivalent chance, not an assurance of success.
- Conservatives want consequences; for instance there is no such thing as to big to fail.
These perspectives are entirely opposing to liberals. Liberals say they love America, however I am obliged to inquire yet again; why do their actions declare otherwise?
- Why do they want to change America so much?
- Why do they want to take us further and further away from the Constitution?
- Why does our liberal president apologize to our enemies?
Why? Because they hate what America stands for: Christ, freedom, capitalism and most of all power to the people and NOT the government. Liberals want control and that is impossible in the America of our Founders and their Constitution. They will love America, but not until we are no longer, in reality, America.
That is why we require enlightening our children to what America is earnestly all about.
JimBlockey Teacher/Author “Teachers… It Ain’t Your Fault”
We DON’T hate America. However, we are taught to think CRITICALLY and that can and does mean turning the cultural and critical lens on our own country instead of blindly “buying in” to what is force fed us through religion and politics and the media.
America is NOT perfect. We still struggle with race and power issues, and YES the power is held in the hands of the white, male, christian, capitalist ideology. This is not an accident! Things are not that way because of any rights, divine or otherwise. Men made it be that way.
Capitalism is not perfect. The huge multinational conglomerates operate outside of any law, or sense of morality. The must only answer to their shareholders, and the call of the profit and bottom line. — Even, and I repeat this, if it is at the expense, health, safety and welfare of American citizens. They should not have this much power and control, especially since the citizens do not elect the very small majority of people who sit on the control of these corporate boards. Making a profit is fine, but not when you risk people’s lives to do it! Or run the economic stability of the banking system into the ground for your own greedy ends.
The world should be a better place. A place for ALL PEOPLE to live in and enjoy, not just some idea of a chosen special few. True freedom means living and working with different viewpoints, religions, and ideologies. Conservatives, liberals, it doesn’t matter. If we cannot learn to live with the views of others and stop trying to shove one ideology down the throats of others… then we will be doomed as a country. That is what I see happening in America.
Posted by missdisplaced | April 15, 2011, 12:16 pmYou hate what it stands for… capitalism is not perfect, nor is America, but it is the best system until we see God. And yes God and Christianity were the major part in America’s foundation and until we started chipping away at that foundation, America was the best.
If you do not like the capitalist ideology there are many other places that might suit you… why would you change what we have here.
If we the power is in the power of the white, male, Christian than why do we have a black muslim president and a woman speaker of the house (until recently).
Everything and place should be better, but it will never happen, at least in America all have the “opportunity” to live and enjoy… at least it used to be that way, until the libs took control.
This ideology was NOT just for a chosen few, it for anyone that want to WORD for it, but it is those like you who have this disdain for those who work hard and were successful. Are there those that have done it at the expense of others? Yes, nothing is perfect, but there is better.
It is funny how you talk about shoving ideology down the throats of others thus dooming our country. Well aren’t you trying to force you ideology, religion or lack of religion down our throats.
Witchydonna, how did our country survive for 200 years without the likes of superior minds like yourself? Very well I thank you.
One last thing, PEOPLE are suppose to take care of each other not governments, and until our government started playing Robin Hood, our less successful were taken care of very well.
Posted by Jim Blockey | April 15, 2011, 12:43 pmObama has come out saying that he is Christian. I believe him. Where is your PROOF that he is Muslim?
Posted by James Ragsdale | April 16, 2011, 11:33 amI have heard him admit he was a Muslim, and he also said he love praying at dusk. Go to utube and type in Obama admits he is a Muslim… there are many videos showing it.
Yes he also says he is a Christian… But it is impossible to be a Christian/Muslim… at least if you have read the Quran.
Posted by Jim Blockey | April 17, 2011, 8:46 pmJim fyi..the government is made up of people ..duh…I am wondering how long you will allow me to post on your blog because I understand that most people who reap what you sew become completely uncomfortable when people like me poke holes through your unconnected logic…oh yes…we should ignore the weak and let them survive at the mercy of the people who do not understand the function of a 21st century government…people who fear thy neighbors that are different from them..What a joke…continue to spew your labels and spread your fear…you are doing such a just service for OUR country that was formed on principals of everyone’s freedom…not just the freedom of those of you who believe God is something to be feared…My family celebrates God as we are inviting to those who may worship differently but as OUR founding fathers thought must have the freedom to openly practice the religion of their choosing…You speak of freedom, but it is sad that you haven’t the vaguest understanding of IT
Posted by Mike Martin | April 21, 2011, 8:59 amActually you have yet to poke holes in any of my logic… in fact you strengthen it. One I have never said we should ignore the weak, but it is not the job of government to take care of them… it is MY responsibility and YOURS should you choose to do so… that is a FREE government. Two, as far as practicing the religion of their choosing, please read some of the Federalist Papers. And have you heard of Justice Joseph Story? Read what the Supreme Court’s decision in Vidal v Girard and what Justice Joseph Story had to say regarding ANY religion.
And my understanding of freedom is one who is guarnteed the opportunity of success not the success itself. It seems you do not understand the term, especially if you think Freedom means I am forced to take care of your so-called weak, that does not sound like freedom to me, it sounds like I have to work and and am not free to do with my money what I choose.
Mike you talk a great deal, but you did not once poke a hole through anything that I have said. You have done an excellent job at attempting to belittle me, but where is your proof… name ONE thing I have said that is wrong and then prove it.
Doubt that you can do that… you see I have done my research and point out facts and back them. FACTS – something liberals hate.
Posted by Jim Blockey | April 22, 2011, 11:11 pmQuestioning the Constitution is one of the most patriotic things you can do. The founding fathers wanted it to be changed to create a better nation. We can have progress without changing things. Do you really think things would be better off if we kept everything the way it was? We’d still have slavery, for starters. I don’t understand how questioning our government is unpatriotic.
Also, the first amendment was created to protect Christianity, but also every other religion under the sky. Christianity shouldn’t come first; I see no reason for it to. Your under the delusion that this is a Christian nation, and you’re sadly mistaken. I don’t see how it’s any more truthful or important than any other religion.
Posted by blamenstein | July 15, 2011, 2:11 pmI do not believe questioning the Constitution is the most patriotic thing you can do; in fact that is one of the most irresponsible statements I have heard. Now questioning the government is another thing… especially when the government is going against what the Constitution stands for. Justice Joseph Story said in his comments that the Constitution was NOT intended to protect or encourage any other religion in fact the opposite; but it was intended from one specific sect (denomonation) from taking over. In 1844 our Supreme Court made a ruling that specified “America IS a Christian Nation” so I guess I am going to have to say it is YOU that is sadly mistaken… But then I learned to research out the truth, not just listen to those liberals that spew lies.
And our Founding Fathers often warned us about changing the Constitution, because they realized it could be used against itself. John Adams said, “Our Constitution is meant only for a religious and moral people; it is wholly inadequate for the use of any other.”
And whether or not you do not see how Christianity is any more truthful or important our founders did.
